In
2003, Petrotrans successfully negotiated a 60 million MT
crude oil reserve with The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on behalf
of China. The Chinese President HU Jin Tao and King
Abdullah of Saudi Arabia officially signed the agreement
during his State Visit to China in January 2006. Because
China National Strategic Oil Reserve Program requires the
crude oil, therefore, this arrangement plays an important
and strategic role for China. In his dedication to this
project, PetroTrans put together a twenty-seven page report on
this oil development project and submitted it to the Saudi
Oil Minister, Mr. Ali Naimi and later to Saudi Aramco
(better known as ARAMCO), the
state-owned national oil company of
Saudi
Arabia. This project amount to a USD53 billion
deal between the two countries.
